Gimhae Airport (PUS) to Seomyeon Urology Clinics — Transport Guide

Busan's Gimhae International Airport (PUS) is located in Gangseo-gu, approximately 18km from the Seomyeon medical district. Three transport options:

Tip: Screenshot the clinic address in Korean (e.g. 부산광역시 부산진구 가야대로 783 성원빌딩 8층 for Busan Men's Health) and show the driver if needed. Most KakaoTaxi drivers understand map navigation without speaking English.

Option 2 — Limousine Bus 2000 (Budget)

Bus 2000 departs from Gimhae Airport (Domestic Terminal) every 20–30 minutes. Destination: Seomyeon Station (서면역). Fare: KRW 3,000 (USD $2.20). Journey: approximately 50–60 minutes. Look for the green Limousine Bus sign at Arrivals. The bus stops at Seomyeon Station — all Seomyeon clinics are within 5–8 minutes walk.

Option 3 — Busan Subway + Transfer

Light Rail (BGLRT) from Gimhae Airport to Sasang Station. Transfer to Metro Line 2. 3 stops to Seomyeon Station. Total: approximately 60–70 minutes. Fare: KRW 2,000–2,500. Not recommended post-surgery — use KakaoTaxi for the return trip from clinic to airport.

From Seoul Incheon Airport (ICN) to Busan

KTX high-speed rail: Seoul Station to Busan Station — 2 hours 30 minutes. Fare: USD $30–$50 depending on class. Departs every 30–40 minutes. From Busan Station: KakaoTaxi to Seomyeon clinics — approximately 15 minutes, KRW 8,000–12,000. Alternatively: fly ICN → PUS domestically (55 minutes, USD $25–$60 budget carrier).

Gimhae Airport — Practical Details for Arriving Medical Patients

Gimhae International Airport (IATA: PUS) has two terminals — International (T1) and Domestic (T2). All international arrivals use Terminal 1. Korean immigration and customs take approximately 20–40 minutes depending on queue length. The Arrivals Hall has currency exchange counters (rates are competitive compared to hotels), an ATM cluster (Woori Bank, Hana Bank, KEB), and the Limousine Bus 2000 stop.

KakaoTaxi — Setting Up Before You Land

Download the KakaoTaxi app on your phone before travelling. Register with an international phone number — the app accepts non-Korean numbers. Enable the English language interface in settings. From Gimhae Airport Arrivals Hall: exit through the main doors, follow signs for Taxi. KakaoTaxi standard taxis are the black or silver sedans. Larger vehicles (minivan taxis) are available for groups or large luggage. The app shows the driver's name, vehicle, and real-time tracking.

Limousine Bus 2000 — Complete Route Information

The Limousine Bus 2000 departs from Gimhae Airport (International Terminal, Bus Stop 5, outside Arrivals) every 20–30 minutes. Route: Airport → Sasang Station → Seomyeon → Busan Station → Haeundae (selected stops). Seomyeon Station stop is approximately 50–60 minutes from the airport. Buy your ticket from the kiosk at the bus stop (Korean Won cash or transportation card — T-money).

The bus to Seomyeon is practical for patients travelling light and not requiring immediate clinic access. Not recommended for post-surgery return — use KakaoTaxi after procedures.

KTX from Seoul Incheon — For Patients Connecting via ICN

From Incheon Airport (T1 or T2) to Busan Busan Station: AREX Airport Express to Seoul Station (43 minutes), then KTX high-speed rail to Busan Station (2 hours 28 minutes). Total: approximately 3 hours 20 minutes. From Busan Station to Seomyeon: KakaoTaxi approximately 15 minutes (KRW 8,000–12,000) or Metro Line 1 direction Nopo, 4 stops to Seomyeon Station.
